In the aftermath of the deranged Barack Obama era, when the sanctity of traditional marriage was all but destroyed and our Second Amendment freedoms came under constant assault, we need all the help we can get in aiding President Donald Trump in his mission to Make America Great Again.
It is, then, with great sadness that we have to announce that a true unheralded conservative hero has just passed away, at the far too young age of 46.
Bob Owens was an unflinching, always vocal defender of the Second Amendment, and had considerable influence on conservative thought as the founder of BearingArms.com. He started his work in 2004 at the Confederate Media, moved to Pajamas Media in 2007, and then began focusing on gun rights advocacy and firearms. Owens also worked as a writer for the publication Shooting Illustrated.
Owens gained devoted fans for the courageous and uncompromising way he directly took on liberals on social media who tried to convince people why they should have their constitutional gun rights stripped from them by the controlling and power-hungry government. Commented Dan Steinberg on Twitter after hearing of Owens’ passing, “Huge loss. @bob_owens was a professional, happy to share his knowledge and passion. Glad I had chance to work with him over the past 7 yrs. RIP.”
Jason J. Brown added on Facebook, “You were one of the reasons I wanted to come to the NRA and work in media. You were a standard bearer of 2A journalism that I enjoyed reading as a fan, and respected even more as a colleague and person. I promise to keep working hard to fight for everything we believe in, and hopefully, we can keep your incredible legacy alive. Rest easy, Bob.” Will you pray for Bob’s family during this tough time?
