Would-be two-time First Daughter Chelsea Clinton recently described the fact that her mother Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 presidential election an “unexpected blessing,” and she very well could have been referring to how her mother will now avoid the legal scrutiny into her wrongdoings she would likely face if she was in the White House.
However, despite the fact that Hillary Clinton is now a private citizen and can maintain a low profile if she pleases, it looks like she will not be able to hide from her lawbreaking. According to a recent announcement, the U.S. Senate has just opened a new investigation into Hillary.
Wealthy Bangladeshi businessman Mohammed Yunus became a close friend of the Clintons and, like so many other powerful foreigners, sought to curry influence with them by “donating” to the Clinton Foundation. As payback, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton attempted to stop the Bangladeshi government from carrying out the corruption inquiry it was going to start against Yunus.
Hillary’s act was successfully hushed up, but now Republican Senator Chuck Grassley, who is chairman of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, is opening an investigation into what Hillary did. Said Grassley in a formal letter to current Secretary of State Rex Tillerson about Hillary, “If the Secretary of State used her position to intervene in an independent investigation by a sovereign government simply because of a personal and financial relationship stemming from the Clinton Foundation rather than the legitimate foreign policy interests of the United States, then that would be unacceptable.”
He added, “Co-mingling her official position as Secretary of State with her family foundation would be similarly inappropriate. It is vital to determine whether the State Department had any role in the threat of an IRS audit against the son of the Prime Minister in retaliation for this investigation.” Are you glad the Senate will be investigating Hillary for this crime?
