At a conservative conference in Washington D.C., Caitlyn Jenner made a joke about liberals. Consequently, a liberal Twitter backlash ensued.
At the College Republican National Committee conference, Jenner made the joke when talking about the shooting at the Republican congressional baseball practice shooting.
“Nobody deserves what happened out there,” Jenner proclaimed. “There’s no justification.
“There are crazy people. We have to minimize that type of stuff,”exclaimed Jenner. “As far as the people that were injured, it’s an absolute shame. You just want them to recover.”
Jenner joked, “Fortunately, the guy was a really bad shot … liberals can’t even shoot straight.”
Jenner was referring to James Hodgkinson, the shooter who injured House Majority Whip Steve Scalia, a congressional aide, and two Capitol police officers. Hodgkinson, age 66, died from his injuries after the police officers returned fire. From his social media pages, it was reported that the attack was politically motivated. Hodgkinson was a fanatic liberal and a huge Bernie Sanders supporter.
The Washington Examiner reported:
Jenner’s remarks at the convention came in the form of a question and answer session where a moderator incorporated questions submitted by college students in the audience. Over the course of the dinner, Jenner spoke on a variety of topics, from Kanye West to the Paris climate agreement, which the track and field legend said was “just a way for the rest of the world to kind of ruin us economically.”
