Thanks to President Donald Trump finally telling the truth about the way things are in the United States, it is certainly no longer a secret that millions of Americans have been struggling with decreased opportunities due to the failed policies of previous administrations.
A college education still remains the surest ticket to prosperity in our country, but tuition at private colleges has skyrocketed past what all but the wealthiest Americans can’t afford without taking on serious student loan debt. Despite the fact that so many regular Americans are sorely in need of a break when it comes to college tuition, elite Smith College decided to dedicate scholarship money to refugees and illegal aliens instead.
The highly selective women’s college, which is the alma mater of former First Lady Barbara Bush, announced that the Marianne Ejier Olds ’47 Scholarship would be earmarked solely for non-citizens. Said Marianne’s daughter Jacqueline in the rose-colored press release, “Smith changed the course of my mother’s life. She always believed that the education she received there gave her the confidence to do whatever she wanted in life.”
