Dana Perino Has An Interesting Theory About White House Restructuring, It Makes A Lot Of Sense

After Friday’s announcement that Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly would take the position of White House chief of staff Reince Priebus, many expressed their shock at the apparent White House turmoil. However, on “The Five,” Fox News host Dana Perino contended that the apparent restructuring of the White House is a carefully crafted plan by President Donald Trump.

“I’m gonna go out and say this: I think that this was all set up for a few weeks because the president has been so upset about Jeff Sessions and his recusal in the Russia investigation that the Republicans and conservatives that came to Jeff Sessions’ defense this week all said, ‘But he’s doing the best on the issue we care about the most and that is immigration,’” Perino said.

“Well, where can Jeff Sessions do even more on immigration? As the Secretary of Homeland Security,” she continued. “So I think what they’re going to try to do is move Sessions over to DHS, and then how can conservatives complain?”

Perino further argued that if Trump decided to appoint Sessions to the Department of Homeland Security, he could then hire a new attorney general that would replace FBI special counsel Robert Mueller. Mueller is currently leading the FBI investigation into alleged collusion between the Russians and the Trump campaign during the 2016 president election. As such, Trump has expressed his disapproval of Mueller.

The other co-hosts of “The Five” were shocked by this theory presented by Perino.
