On Tuesday, Fox News host Kat Timpf held back tears while responding to President Donald Trump’s comments about the terrorism in Charlottesville and the responsibility of the “alt-left.” Timpf went off on the president for his inability to explicitly hold white nationalists accountable for the violence and hate that occurred on Saturday.
“It’s honestly crazy for me to have to comment on this right now, because I’m still in the phase where I’m wondering if it was actually real life what I just watched,” Timpf exclaimed on “Fox News Specialists.”
She proceeded to rant about Trump and labeled his most recent press conference “one of the biggest messes that I’ve ever seen.” Timpf also stated that she could not “believe it happened.”
Timpf remarked that she was amazed Trump did not point to Islamic terrorism at first. She added that he has been infamous for being quick to blame catastrophes on Islamic terrorism.
“He’s not measured in his criticism,” Timpf said. “He goes after people as soon as he has the inkling. For him to take 48 hours, that is something he has never done before. … It shouldn’t be some kind of bold statement to say, ‘Yes, a gathering full of white supremacist Nazis doesn’t have good people in it. Those are all bad people, period.’”
“The fact that that’s controversial,” she continued. “I don’t know if I should laugh. I have too much eye makeup on to start crying right now. It’s disgusting.”
